Whether you're buying wine to drink today or weeks from today, wine cooler
bags are the best way to ensure that it travels in style. NorChill Wine Coolers are
made from the highest quality material and the latest wine cooler technology.
Most wines are sold in glass bottles and are sealed using a cork. Recently a
growing number of wine producers have begun sealing their product with
alternative closures such as screwcaps or synthetic plastic "corks."
When
storing your wine it is recommended that you store it in a wine cellar. Wine
cellars offer the opportunity to protect alcoholic beverages from potentially
harmful external influences, providing darkness and a constant temperature. Wine
is a natural, perishable food product. Left exposed to heat, light, vibration or
fluctuations in temperature and humidity, all types of wine, including red,
white, sparkling, and fortified, can spoil. When properly stored, wines not only
maintain their quality but many actually improve in aroma, flavor, and
complexity as they mature.
When your ready to drink your wine, remove it
from the cellar and cool it as per the temperature guide below; a NorChill
Cooler can ensure the proper temperature.
45 °F (7 °C): Most white wines you'll come across including Chenin Blancs,
Sauvignon Blancs, Loire Wines, Rieslings and 'everyday' Chardonnays. If they are
served colder, the aromas and flavors will be minimized and you won't get full
enjoyment.
50 °F (10 °C): Full bodied, high quality white wines including Sauternes and rich white Burgundies. Light red wines like Beaujolais.
60 °F (15 °C): Red wines including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Bordeaux, Zinfandel, Rhones and Syrah/Shiraz.
